The minimum computer system requirements for the Trainer Tools CD-ROM are Office 2000, with Word, and Internet Explorer version 5.5.

    • The Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) - Explains that shippers are to classify each material and to communicate the hazards thru shipping papers, labels on packages & placards on transport vehicles.
    • Training - Explains that the HMR requires hazmat employees be trained in at least 4 areas: General Awareness, Function-Specific, Safety and Security Awareness (NOTE: See 131-DVD-R 3 for Hazmat Security Awareness training program.)
    • The Hazardous Materials Table - Explains this alphabetical listing of materials identified as hazardous by the DOT and how it provides info needed to communicate the hazards associated with those materials in the hazmat transportation process, including an explanation of Columns 1-10 of the Table.

    • Loading, Unloading and Storage - Explains that there are specific requirements which are targeted at protecting everyone involved in the transportation process for hazardous materials.
